Childcare Sufficiency Assessment
The Childcare Act 2006, Section 11, places a statutory duty on all Local Authorities to undertake a full Childcare Sufficiency Assessment every three years and an annual refresh.
Stoke-on-Trent Local Authority published a full Childcare Sufficiency Assessment in March 2008. The next full assessment is due in March 2011.
As a result of the Stoke-on-Trent Childcare Sufficiency Assessment an action plan was produced to address the findings and recommendations.
The Stoke-on-Trent Childcare Sufficiency Assessment 2010 Refresh document is now published. The refresh document includes further and updated data, considers economic issues and priorities for 2010/11.
